Atlanta

Birthplace of the civil rights movement, Coca-cola and some seriously famous fruit - Atlanta, GA. Join Matt Fisher for a pre-game tour of Hotlanta in Key to the City: Atlanta.

Before exploring "The A" take a look at its breathtaking skyline from the Jackson Street Bridge. Once a well-kept secret amongst Atlanta insiders, the word has gotten out. This picture perfect spot is, well, a perfect spot to take a picture of the best views of the city. Go during sunset for a real treat!

After taking a quiet moment to admire the city skyline put in your earplugs and cruise down to the Richard Petty Driving Experience Atlanta Motor Speedway! Whether you want to drive yourself or sit shotgun and let a professional driver take the wheel, put the pedal to the metal and live out your NASCAR dreams as you cruise around the track at 165mph. (Giant bottle of champagne to spray in celebration not included).

After that speed and excitement, check out how Atlanta brings the excitement of the city and the world into your living room at the CNN Center Tour! Walk around the CNN news studios and even get a behind-the-scenes look at the filming of HLN’s morning show in action at the world headquarters of this global news leader! You can even come up with your own news anchor tagline while sitting behind the newsroom desk! You stay classy, Atlanta.

All this sightseeing will surely work up an appetite so stop by The Silver Skillet for classic Southern diner food. Serving more than you average burgers and fries, The Silver Skillet offers traditional favorites like grits and ham, ribs, and their famous Lemon Icebox Pie. But don’t just take our word for it, this beloved diner has been featured in movies, music videos, and the Food Network’s show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." Still not convinced? A few small names like Will Ferrell, Katie Couric, and Dave Chappelle have been known to stop in every time they’re in the city. Go see what all the buzz is about and bring on the comfort food. Everyone knows calories don’t count on vacation so don’t hold back!

On our way to our next stop, we happened upon Atlantic Station. Outdoor pedestrian shopping district hosts fun, family friendly events, dining options, movies and more.
